Mobile Health Program

The RMYC owns and operates three Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, Inc. The RMYC owns and operates three Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles. The care mobiles are pediatric clinics on wheels that travel to schools and other community sites in low-income neighborhoods, providing medical and dental care to uninsured children and adolescents for only $10 per visit. This fee is waived for families that demonstrate an inability to pay.

The RMYC is the only organization in the world to have three Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles, making it one of the most accessible healthcare systems in the state. The care mobiles provide more than 2,500 Colorado children with healthcare services each year.

In 2010, the Walmart Foundation presented The RMYC with a $35,000 grant for the care mobiles and continues to help fund the program through 2011.

In the 2009-2010 school year, The RMYC operated out of three school-based health centers, providing medical services to more than 1,750 patients in schools, a 16% increase over the previous year.
